Since 2006, the Wales Lincoln Alumni Association has been publishing programs in the form of booklets, generally from 12 pages to 28 pages. The total number of pages is over 270.

Montgomery County History Center has been the home of the banquet for the past 10 years and has been extremely helpful in producing our annual event. The current committee discussed the possibility of binding all of the programs into a book that could be retained at The History Center in their Wales-Lincoln
(all area high schools) archive area.

Why this book?.. then the question became whether or not there may be individuals that would also have an interest in such a publication. Particular those that may not have been able to attend all of the past banquets. Thus we agreed that perhaps we could offer the book to anyone for a nominal fee that would cover publishing expenses.

What is it about?.. The theme of each program over that period of time has focused on the graduating class of the decade, e.g. This year decades are 1938, 1948, 1958—and to recognize individuals in those graduating years, and to note their status, as far as living or deceased. We also undertook the task of incorporating information “of the day”.

Description… Included in each program, information such as daily cost of living, special events of the year, clippings, pictures, quotes, stories, and so much more.

Purpose… this is not a book that is intended to be read from cover to cover, but rather used more as a reference, a guide to certain periods of time as it relates to memories of the day.

Why is it important… I doubt that it rates very high on the future “Importance scale”, but no matter… it is important now—to remember and to share memories… hope you enjoy.
